Healthy activities for children, youth and adults form a cornerstones of regional and rural lives and sports clubs are being urged to take advantage of the current round of the State Government’s Active Club program.
Member for Frome Geoff Brock MP said he was pleased to see that the State Government was offering another round of this valuable grant program managed by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.
“The Active Club program provides funding support to help recreation and sporting clubs further develop their programs and services,” Mr Brock said.
“The $3.15 million set aside for the 2019/20 rounds 47 and 48 is available to successful incorporated bodies involved in sport and active recreation, with organisations able to apply for $2,500 or $5,000 for programs and equipment.
“Organisations can also apply for up to $25,000 for minor facility projects in the current round (Round 47).”
Mr Brock said there were many clubs and organisations in the Frome electorate who could benefit from the grants and he urged committees to consider applying.
Applications close at noon on Wednesday 17 April and guidelines and applications can be accessed at: http://ors.sa.gov.au/funding/
