It was an honour to present a 'Certificate of Bravery' to Philip Salvemini and his daughter Hayley Salvemini, to acknowledge the brave act of his Grandfather, Mr Mauro Salvemini back in 1933 when he rescued Giovanni Mezzino from drowning in Spencer Gulf Port Pirie after falling from his wooden boat 26 October 1933.
Also in recognition of saving the son of Nicholas Angelo who accidently rode his bicycle over the Fisherman's Wharf, Port Pire on the 1 May 1937.
