🥳🏀Great News for Peterborough🏀🎉

After much lobbying to the State Government, I welcome the provision of $50k to upgrade the 44 year old wooden backboards and goals at the Peterborough Basketball Stadium - a MUCH needed investment for our only local team-based sport for ages 6 to 55.

In this difficult time of drought, it's heartening to see support for something that brings people together, promotes well-being and strengthens community spirit.

And perfectly timed, as the association approaches its Centenary, these new backboards will help the community to keep enjoying their sports, especially the youth and the older generation.

It will also mean that the club can participate in the Tri-Series and connect with other regional teams in the association such as Burra, Orroroo, Jamestown, Crystal Brook and Clare and Gilbert Valley.

Hey, who knows where the next champion will come from! Having the right facilities in place is a platform for success.
