Exciting news for Port Augusta!!
The historic Port Augusta Wharf is getting a much-needed $15 million upgrade, thanks to the Albanese and Malinauskas Labor Governments! This investment will breath new life into our waterfront, securing its place as the gateway to the Flinders Ranges and Spencer Gulf.
With $12 million from the Federal Government, this project will improve accessibility, boost tourism, and support local recreation. Once complete, the wharf will be safe for pedestrians and light vehicles and provide better access for boats and other watercraft.
Work begins in mid-2025, with completion expected by late 2026. This upgrade means new decking, stronger foundations, and a vibrant future for our community!
Proud to be standing alongside the dedicated advocate Linley Shine, Mayor, City of Port Augusta representing Port Augusta City Council today, as we celebrate this great news.
