January 2020 will mark the 60th anniversary of the honouring and celebrating great Australians from all walks of life.

We’re looking for people who are great at what they do, contribute to Australian society and inspire those around them. They could be quiet achievers, community members, leaders in their field of work, household names or unknown heroes.

Members of the public are encouraged to nominate persons for the 2020 Awards.

Your nominee(s) could be recognised in one of the four categories:

• Australian of the year
• Senior Australian of the Year (65 years and over)
• Young Australian of the Year (16 to 30 years)
• Australia’s Local Hero
