The Active Club Program has two funding rounds per year, and helps active recreation and sports club with:

• facility upgrade requests up to $25,000 (Round 47 only)
• program and equipment up to and including $5,000 (Round 47 and Round 48)

You can apply for up to $5,000 for a Programs and Equipment Grant; for costs associated with conducting programs to develop or improve the service the Club provides and/or the cost of consumable equipment, uniforms or ground maintenance equipment.

EMERGENCY DEFIBRILLATORS FOR CLUBS

Local clubs are being urged to apply for funding for a defibrillator through this Grant.  During the latest round of the Active Club Program no clubs applied for funding to purchase a defibrillator. Automated External Defibrillator prices vary but a standard cost is about $2,500 – $3,000 and can be registered with SA Health at no extra cost, so that callers can be directed to the closest device if an emergency occurs.
