South Australian secondary school students have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the state’s thriving space sector, thanks to a new work experience program. The program is available to students in years 10, 11 and 12 from both public and non-government schools in School Holiday’s of Term 3 & 4.

The South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC) and the Department for Education’s Advanced Technology Program. 10 space companies are registered for this program.  This program will give selected South Australian students:

  • personal insight into the space industry
  • an understanding of skills and qualifications required
  • networking opportunities
  • inspiration to pursue STEM careers.
