Redhill 150th Anniversary

Geoff attended the celebrations at Redhill for their 150th Anniversary held on 14th July which was a “Family Fun” day with displays of old and new cars and machinery, games, bus tours of the town and stall holders.   Redhill (formerly Broughton)  about 80km south of Port Pirie,  sits alongside the Broughton River at the foot of the Flinders Ranges. It was renamed as Redhill in 1940.  The School was closed in 1994.  Now you can enjoy picnic areas, a roadhouse and the Eureka Hotel. The original District Council Office is now a museum a town with a wonderful history.
