The Road Safety Centre, located on Gertrude Street, is a functional and educational facility, offering people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn basic road rules whilst riding a bike or scooter.
However, like most community groups, it is run by volunteers and the current team is looking for new members to assist!
There are a variety of jobs that require volunteers – things like repairing and maintaining the bikes and scooters, general maintenance, teaching the students basic road rules and all round being a good role model for the younger generation.
You can volunteer as much or as little are you like! The only requirements are a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check. Basic first aid not essential but a huge asset.
If this sounds like something you would be willing to assist with, or know someone who this might interest please make contact using the details provided.
