The Savoy Soccer Club held a Anniversary Gala Ball to celebrate their 70th Anniversary and what a wonderful celebration it was.  June 24th, 1949 was the date for the first match played.   The night was well attended and enjoyed by all, the Committee are to be congratulated for the hard work to make this a special night for everyone. More than 300 people attended from both Adelaide, Whyalla and interstate as well as our local area.  The memorabilia including manikins in soccer shirts through the years, scrapbooks and premiership photos was a stroll down memory lane for everyone.
