SA Government seeking feedback on Retirement Villages (Miscellaneous) Amendment Regulations 2025

We want to hear your feedback on proposed amendments to the Retirement Villages Regulations 2017(External link).

The regulations are needed to support recent updates to the Retirement Villages Act 2016(External link) made by the Retirement Villages (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 2024(External link).

Retirement villages legislation governs the operation of all retirement villages across South Australia and the new regulations will provide additional detail and guidance on how it will work in practice.

Areas for input include proposed regulations relating to:

  • Before moving into a village
  • Living in a village
  • Leaving a village
  • An updated code of conduct for operators, staff and residents.

Community feedback will help finalise the proposed amendment regulations.
